This event happens every few years and benefits the endowment grants for our neighborhood, public schools, Thoreau Elementary and Cherokee Middle Schools.

The grants allow the schools to fund projects and other things that the District budget cannot fund. For instance, this year, The fifth grade classes with learn about pinhole cameras and photography. This is something many of the children at our school would not have the opportunity to experience without the help of the grant, and the money generated from Bids for Kids.
