The most heavily attended event of the year is Tulip Dinner. It begins in a gracious neighbor’s home for hors d’oeuvres. Upon arrival, guests are randomly assigned other neighbors’ houses at which to enjoy the salad and main courses. At the conclusion of the dinner course, the entire group reconvenes at another kindly neighbor’s house for dessert and coffee.

If you loved the delicious food from this year's Tulip Dinner, you can view the recipes at the following links:

There are a couple of changes we made to these recipes:

For the main course, we soaked the wooden skewers overnight, and made vegetable kebabs with orange, yellow and green peppers, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, and red onion and marinated these in the same kind of marinade as the chicken kebabs. We cut the amount of lemon zest in the yogurt sauce in half.

For the salad course, we used unseasoned rice wine vinegar in the salad dressing for the salad. We added more feta cheese, and we did not seed the tomatoes.
